How They Got Here

Gone Country is a Dallas-based Country Band that was formed from local musicians who love the traditional country music sound written and performed by the living legend Alan Jackson. We started the project in 2019 right before the COVID lockdown and it took us a bit to finally hit the stage in 2022.  The music of Alan Jackson has developed and grown in popularity since the 90's. His song writing was influenced by his family, the community, culture, and sounds of his hometown. We are excited to perform the music that speaks to his fans across the musical spectrum and bring his music to our fans.​  Alan's signature style of music has become synonymous with a diverse collection of melodies and compositions that have climbed the charts to multiple #1 hits. Gone Country is excited to bring you these hits and more live on stage with the beautiful sounds from the steel gutar, fiddle, piano, and guitar. Gone Country Band members include: Scott Jones (Lead Vocals and Acoustic Guitar), David Simpson (Lead Guitar and Backup Vocals), Carol Jones (backup vocals), Rex Johnson (Percussion), Jeff Wallace (Bass), Tray Pope (Piano), David Alexander (Lap Steel Guitar / Dobro), and Mike Wagner (Fiddle).​
